This BIT course is a PRE-Requisite in becoming an NRA Personal Protection In The Home (PPITH) Instructor.

(If you already completed the BIT course in the last 2 years, you do not have to come to this class (MUST HAVE PROOF of BIT COMPLETION). At the end of this course, you will possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to Organize & Conduct NRA Basic Firearms Training Courses.

This package is if you have COMPLETED any of the 2 PRE-REQUISITES & only need to completed 1 Pre-Requisite and the PPITH Instructor Course

This package is if you have completed only 1 of the PRE-REQUISITES and need to complete the 2nd pre-requisite and the PPITH Instructor Course.

Choose this option if you have completed the BIT and Only Need the Basic PPITH Course and the PPITH Instructor Course.

What are the Requirements to Attend the NRA Pistol Instructor Course?

Must have not been CONVICTED of ANY felonies, Domestic Violence Convictions
NO CURRENT Restraining Orders
Must be minimum a U.S Resident (green card)

Where will the NRA Pistol Instructor Course take place at?

Venue: At Public Safety Institute's training office

Where will the live-fire training and live-fire qualification take place?

You will be advised on the time and date of the range qualification. It will be during day 2

Range: Burro Canyon Shooting Park: 22100 E. Fork Rd, Azuza, CA 91702

There is a cost of $50 for the range fee payable at the range.

What is the required gear list for the classroom?

Pen, pencil, highlighter, and a notebook. 2- or 3-inch binder.

Wear appropriate attire, NO sandals or open toed shoes, NO shorts, NO Sweatpants.

What is the required gear list for the shooting range?

Eye and Ear Protection (Electronic Recommended)
Outside the Waiste Holster
300 rounds of ammunition, (you may buy ammo at the range)
Lunch/Water
If you do not own a firearm, you may rent one with us for $35

You can reschedule for the next NRA PPITH Instructor course.
